Psalm 149 1 Praise Yah! Sing to Yahweh a new song, His praise in the assembly of the holy ones. 2 Let Israel be glad in his Maker; Let the sons of Zion rejoice in their King. 3 Let them praise His name with dancing; With tambourine and lyre let them sing praises to Him. 4 For Yahweh takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the afflicted ones with salvation. 5 Let the holy ones exult in glory; Let them sing for joy on their beds. Minor Idea: God’s people must corporately praise with dance and music, for Yahweh will adorn them with salvation. 6 Let the exaltations of God be in their throats, And a two‑edged sword in their hand, 7 To execute vengeance on the nations And punishments on the peoples, 8 To bind their kings with chains And their honored men with fetters of iron, 9 To execute on them the judgment written; This is the majesty of all His holy ones.
