  James 5:7-12 James 5: 7 Μακροθυμήσατε οὖν, ἀδελφοί, ( Therefore, be patient, brothers,) ἕως τῆς παρουσίας τοῦ κυρίου. ( until the coming of the Lord.) ἰδοὺ ὁ γεωργὸς ἐκδέχεται τὸν τίμιον καρπὸν τῆς γῆς (Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the soil,) μακροθυμῶν ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ ( being patient about it,) ἕως λάβῃ πρόϊμον. ( until it receives the early) καὶ ὄψιμον (and late rains.) James 5: 8 μακροθυμήσατε καὶ ὑμεῖς, ( You too be patient) στηρίξατε τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν, ( strengthen your hearts,) ὅτι ἡ παρουσία τοῦ κυρίου ἤγγικεν. ( For the coming of the Lord is at hand.)   James 5:1–6 James 5: 1 Ἄγε νῦν (Come now) οἱ πλούσιοι (you rich) κλαύσατε ( cry) ὀλολύζοντες ἐπὶ ταῖς ταλαιπωρίαις ὑμῶν ( howling over your miseries) ταῖς ἐπερχομέναις. ( which are coming upon you ) James 5: 2 ὁ πλοῦτος ὑμῶν σέσηπεν (Your riches have rotted) καὶ τὰ ἱμάτια ὑμῶν σητόβρωτα γέγονεν (and your garments have become moth-eaten) James 5: 3 ὁ χρυσὸς ὑμῶν ( Your gold) καὶ ὁ ἄργυρος κατίωται (and your silver have rusted) καὶ ὁ ἰὸς αὐτῶν εἰς μαρτύριον ὑμῖν ἔσται ( and their corrosion will be a witness against you) καὶ φάγεται τὰς σάρκας ὑμῶν (and will consume your flesh like fire) ὡς πῦρ ἐθησαυρίσατε ἐν ἐσχάταις ἡμέραις.
